VAUGHN WALLS
1972
A movable partition system to compliment office landscape equipment.
Vaughn Wall is a space dividing panel system made of gypsum that has an
extended fire rating. It was developed by REDE designers in 1979 and
held furniture components from track at the panel joints. It is secured
between carpet and ceiling to isolate noise, provide greater privacy
and fire safety more efficiently than conventional panel systems.
The products were demonstrated in the Vaughn Walls Company headquarters,
and at the Neoconannual furniture conference in Chicago in 1980.
